Contest Summary:
- Draw 2 or more MQ characters in a single, full-color pic.
- Your contest submission must be in color. You are free to
use either traditional/digital or mixed.
- Characters must be drawn at least waist up (full body is a bonus),
other kinds of shots (eg: shoulder/potrait) is allowed only if
you're planning to draw more than 2 characters.
- Characters must not be OOC (out of character)
- Deadline : 18th January 2008 ( Extension 30th January )
- How to submit : Thru DA note or email to [email protected]
with the subject " MQ Contest Entry ". You should receive a reply
e-mail from me, confirming that I've received your entry. ^^ If you
did not, please re-send it again ok?
There is no fixed theme for this contest,
although if you're feeling uninspired, you can try any of these
themes:
#Couple / Group
Draw a pair or group of MQ charas in a single pic, it can be theme
of love, or friendship, or just having some fun together.
*reminder: no shounen-ai or shoujo-ai or any inappropriate
suggestiveness (ecchi)
#Versus / Battle
Draw the characters engaged in battle! Against each other, or
against an enemy or two, it's up to you... You can even pitch them
in a fight against your own Original Character! ^^
#Story-based
Draw a picture based on the original comic story, or make up a story
of your own and draw a picture of it! ^^ Remember to write a bit
about the story your picture was based on.
#Song
Draw the characters based on a song that inspires you!
** Again, a reminder that you do not have to draw to these themes,
you are free to draw the characters in whatever situation you like
^^
Contest Rules:
1) Your work must be 100% ORIGINAL and totally drawn by you
(that includes backgrounds (if any)!) Counterfeiting from other
people's works are not allowed. Entries found to have violated this
rule will be disqualified. Collaborations are acceptable, but you
must share the prizes between you and your team.
2) Your submissions must be in color, and be a minimum
size of 600 pixels by 600 pixels @ at least 72dpi. No sketches
please...
The picture can be larger than the minimum pixel size. There is no
file size restriction, but hopefully it doesn't go all the way to
5MB or more *SWT* You may use any kind of media
(traditional/digital) to create the artwork.
3) There must be a minimum of two (2) characters included in
a single picture. You can draw more if you want to. No other
existing (eg: Naruto, Ichigo, etc) / fan-created characters are
allowed, except for crowd scenes or battle scenes (you can create
your own monsters if you want to). =3 Backgrounds are not required,
but will be an added bonus.
4) No hentai, yaoi, yuri, shounen or shoujo-ai, ecchi or massive
gore is allowed. Blood is acceptable, but don't go overboard! XD
5) You may draw the characters in any way you want to, since there
is no fixed theme to this contest.
6) There is no limit to the number of entries you may submit, but
you may only win once.
7) You may change the character's outfits and hairstyle (for girls)
if you wish, but please make sure that they are not too much Out Of
Character (OOC). You must get the character's colors correctly in
general, especially their hair and eye colors.
8) You may post the artwork online on your DeviantArt or etc art
gallery for public viewing, but (if your public picture is hugely
watermarked) you must send an unwatermarked copy to me as
well for judging.
9) Photographs taken of your submission (for traditional media) is
not accepted, unless it is a very high-quality, very clear
photograph.
10) Note me on DA or Send all completed entries as an attachment to
this e-mail >>  with the subject 'MQ
Art Contest Entry'.
